JPL... Just Plain Legendary
The Jersey Pro League is the only summer league in the state of New Jersey made up entirely of professional and collegiate hockey players. The JPL enters its fifth season of play in summer 2026 and will be comprised of two divisions.
Our Pro Division currently features 20 NHL draft picks, 14 contracted NHL players and 2 Team USA World Jr Gold Medalists.
We also have over 10 members who have represented Team USA in other international competitions including World Championships, U18 Worlds and the Ivan Hlinka Memorial (Hlinka Gretzky Cup). The rest of the division is made up of professional players who play in various leagues around the world as well as top NCAA D1/D3 players.
Our Club Division boasts ACHA/AAU talent from all across the United States and has grown tremendously over the past three summers. This division is primarily for intramural college players but lately has morphed into a direct feeder league for our Pro Division. The Club Division now features many of NJ's star Prep/High School players as well as, skaters playing local junior hockey. We have also scene several NCAA D3 skaters choose to play in this division so they can compete with their friends. Recently, we had our first Club player commit to a NCAA D1 school, Isaac Suh - Air Force, which has only further highlighted the intense competition and lightning fast pace of our second division. This summer we will have 8 Teams in the Club Division as we had over 150 players sign up.
As a League, our stated goal is to grow the game of ice hockey in the state of New Jersey. With our free live streamed games, comprehensive stat coverage, and top tier talent, our league is the premier place to play in the off season. Admission to games is free for the entire 2026 summer so come on out and witness the game's next generation of great players from NJ.
The JPL aims to create a family-friendly atmosphere at games so that young fans can witness top level hockey and also make personal connections with our players. Our games are 5 on 5 full ice, incredibly fast paced and extremely high scoring. We play all our games on weeknights around 7:00PM at the Prudential Center Practice Rink, the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House.
