Quarter Final #1
#3 Breakout Sports Broadcasting vs #6 Synergy Uniforms It's going to take a big time performance from Goaltender Aiden Meeker and some timely scoring out of Austin Vecchio and Brian Kramer for Synergy to pull this one out Cotton. BSB is just too good from top to bottom and that Mo-Beard dynamic duo between League MVP Hollis Humphries and the League's #1 pest Peter Cross is clipping at about 7 points per game combined right now (~5 for Hollis and ~2 for Pete but you catch my drift). Also, BSB goalie Tyler Bhalla will be tough to beat come playoff time. Prediction 7-5 BSB victory. Quarter Final #2 #4 Joker/Ammerman Hockey School vs #5 Hockey House Podcast The only thing in the way of a J/A victory is the Green Day concert in NYC on Monday Night. Rumor has it that several J/A players including fan favorite goaltender Sam Zavelson will not be able to attend the quarter finals due to the band's farewell tour and this could give HHP a chance for the upset. Look for Ryan Bechutsky and Roman Kirilytchev to pounce early for Team Hockey House Podcast. Prediction 8-7 Hockey House win. Semi Final #1 #1 College Hockey Buzz vs TBD The Buzz is buzzing, what else can we say? They got the best goalie in Kevin Brennan, the best Dman in Ryan Burke, and then two of the best forwards this state has seen since the Gaudreau Bro's in Austin Teats & Thomas Swartwout. With only one regulation loss coming from BSB and then another shootout stunner to J/A, Team CHB rolls into playoffs on a 3 game heater. They're obviously the pre playoff favorites but it won't be easy. Semi Final #2 # 2 Mr Lemon Stick Wax vs TBD Mr Lemon Wax aint no slouch. Let's be clear, I know this writer just pumped the tires of CHB & BSB pretty good, but this yellow squad is solid from top to bottom. Every player is at a point per game except Christian Tsao and he leads the league in nearly every defensive category including plus/minus, blocked shots, hits and breakout pass accuracy. Add in Calder Trophy winner Mike Rocco and thee Griffen O'Shaughnessy, this team scores goals and is lethal in transition. And did everyone forget about 2023 League MVP, leading scorer, and Championship winner Gary Prince??? This Corey Perry player comparable always shows up in the post season and has been known to carry his squad on his back to the promise land. Haven't seen enough of Jacob King but he certainly passes the eye test in-between the pipes. HISTORY WILL BE MADE.

1. Team Ironbound (CHEEMA) vs 4. Team Broadway (43OAK) Led by Calder Trophy winner Ryan Lukko and the outstanding play of Vezina Trophy winner Jason Cai, Team Ironbound seeks to showcase that their regular season success was not just a fluke. After seeing their perfect, undefeated season snatched from their hands by Team Westside in the final game of the regular season, this young Cheema team should be hungry for revenge come Tuesday night. On the other side, Team Broadway surprisingly finished in last place this year, an unfamiliar finish for the organization. Normally in the upper echelon of the League, this season 43Oak was plagued by goaltending complications and player availability. With the emergence of Trevor Babin and Sean Grevy's strong leadership skills, the team looks to build on their late season push and hopes to bring the right contingent of guys to the semis for a taste of victory. Both of these teams are still seeking their first JPL Championship Appearance. Semi Final #2 2. Team West Side (XHP) vs 3. Team Lincoln Park (LAB) Well folks, what more can we say? The two titans of the League meet again in a clash as old as time. Two years in a row, the Championship of the JPL has come down to these two great organizations. But for the first time in League history, the finals will only feature one of them. Who will it be? XHockey Products' two big UFA off season acquisitions proved to be major contributors as star forward Jack Malone took home League MVP honors and Pito Walton took home the Norris Trophy as the League's best defenseman. Aram Minnetian was also a pleasant surprise after XHP was able to acquire his rights after he won Gold with Team USA at World Juniors. But no matter what, the two-time defending champs will have their work cut out for them as this LAB squad is out for blood this year. Despite coping with visions of the past two championship losses deep in their rem cycle, the LAB saw fantastic seasons from core players Mickey Burns, Liam Mclinskey, Tyler Kopff and of course Ryan Kenny. Fun fact, Kenny recorded more saves than any other goalie in the League for a second straight season. A healthy Drew Fortescue will also add some punch to this dangerous team come playoff time. JPL Media Writers Predictions: Semi #1: Broadway upsets Ironbound by a score of 7-5 Semi #2: West Side clings to victory yet again over Lincoln Park by a score of 5-4 Stay tuned for more Playoff action! 1. tirobarPreseason Offense Rank: 1/4 Current: 1/4 Preseason Defense Rank: 3/4 Current: 1/4 Preseason Goaltending Rank: 3/4 Current: 1/4 Top Performers: 1.
